Love Does not Guarantee successful Relationship.

I have discovered that love doesn't guarantee the success of a relationship. Love cannot help you stick to one person all years round, and on the other hand, cheating isn't always a product of not loving your partner. In fact, loving someone doesn't guarantee not falling in love with someone else. Relationships work out mostly because of our head not our heart. It works out because of our emotional maturity, empathetic intelligence and self-discipline, because time will come when you'll see more beautiful, handsome, romantic, intelligent, sexy, rich, curvy and God fearing people than the one you are in a relationship with. In those times, love will not help you; self-control will help you, emotional intelligence will come to your rescue and commitment will keep you going. With those characteristics, no matter how you feel for someone else, the person you are committed to will rank first in your life. You think happily married people don't see better people th...

Go With Dreamers

Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don't see yourself. By: Edmund Lee

Forgiveness

Forgiveness There is no perfect family. We do not have perfect parents,we are not perfect. We do not marry a perfect person or we do not have perfect children. We have complaints from each other. We are constantly disappointed. There is no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness. Forgiveness is vital to our emotional health and spiritual survival. Without forgiveness, the family becomes an arena of conflict and a fortress of evil.  Without forgiveness, the family becomes sick.  Forgiveness is the asepsis of the soul, the purification of the spirit and the liberation of the heart. He who does not forgive does not have peace in his soul or communion with God. Evil is a poison that intoxicates and kills. Keeping heartache in your heart is a self-destructive gesture. It's autophagy.  Those who do not forgive are physically, emotionally and spiritually ill. For this reason, the family must be a place of life and not a place of death; a pl...

FORGIVE AND APPRECIATE PEOPLE

The late king of my community had ten wild dogs. He used them to torture and eat any of his servants who made a mistake. One of the servants gave an opinion which was wrong, and the king didn’t like it at all. So he ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs. The servant said, “I served you for ten years, and you do this to me? Please give me ten days before throwing me to those dogs!” The king agreed. In those ten days, the servant went to the guard who looks after the dogs and told him he would like to serve the dogs for the next ten days. The guard was baffled but agreed, and the servant started feeding the dogs, cleaning for them, bathing them, and providing all sorts of comfort for them. When the ten days were over, the king ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs for his punishment. When he was thrown in, we were all amazed to see the ravenous dogs only licking the feet of the servant! The king, baffled at what he was seeing, said, ”What h...

Twenty Things i Learned by age Twenty

I’ve lived well past the 20 year mark in my life, but those first twenty years of my life were full of life lessons that I carry with me every single day. Sometimes I may not have understood these things in the moment because I was too young to understand what was really going on. Some of these lessons weren’t even things being shown to me at the time at all, but looking back, all these lessons come through loud and clear. 1 year old Starting well isn’t nearly as important as finishing well. My early life was a mess, and my parents were trying to figure a lot of things out, but where I came from didn’t need to determine where I was going. 2 years old Nothing can steal your destiny. As a gifted child who excelled well beyond the knowledge and wisdom of other two-year olds, I wasn’t afforded an environment that many gifted children had to thrive. You don’t have to look any further than your favorite world changer, like Steve Jobs, to see tha...

HOW TO STOP WORRYING.

  1. Remind yourself that worrying doesn’t stop things happening. Things will happen – or not happen –anyway. 2. Recognise that “What ifs” don’t usually help with problem solving. It’s better to use logic, and brain storm for solutions. Take control of your emotions by using rational thinking. 3. Motivate yourself by something other than worrying. Take a break and do something fun, and then go back to your work again. That positive approach will reap more benefits. 4. Face your fears – and do the things that you worry about. The thought is often much worse than the actual thing you fear. 5. Ask yourself “What’s the worst thing that could happen?” Then, “What are the chances that it will happen? Then “Will you survive it, if it happens, in the end?” Usually, that helps to move us from an extreme and irrational way of thinking to a more realistic, and reasonable way if thinking. 6. Teach yourse...
